There's only ONE real home business success secret


At least 35 times a day, I get an email in my inbox telling me some guy's got "the secret" to my success in internet marketing. One guy says I need to build a HUGE subscriber list. Another says its all about HIS specialized, unique, he's-the-only-one-who's-figured-it-out strategy--and by the way you have to buy his ebook to get it. Yet another says it's all about sticking Google Adsense ads all over every page and praying people click on 'em. The list goes on and on.

Marketing "experts" I've never heard of before parade through my inbox at lightning speed, each one with his own specialty, each one looking for my money, each one talkin' his slick little game (or in some cases, big game, you can see right through it game). I've read so many promotions and so many ebooks my eyes are crossed, and they all get right down to one bottom line that no one just spells out. They hand pieces of it to you, bit by bit, charging for each little piece along the way. Well, I'm sick of it. Sick of the emails, sick of the never-ending parade of ebooks. Sick of the slick, glitzy sales pages that promise the world and deliver nothing.

You want to succeed in a home based business? There is only ONE secret. It's clean and simple: Give people what they want and try to offer it to them WHEN they want it.

See the bottom line is that it doesn't matter WHAT you're offering. Okay, let me rephrase that. I first assume you're not selling freaky voodoo potions or something. Let's first assume you have a viable product or system to offer. Now let's try that again:

It doesn't matter what you're offering, the secret to success in Internet marketing or to success in home based business in general is to offer your prospective customers, your prospects what they want, when they want it. It's an issue of timing, approach, and price all coming together at the magic hour. That's what makes them click. That's what makes them go to your page or pick up the phone and call you. That's what makes sales for you.

Now... granted... sometime people have no idea what they're looking for. In that case, your marketing message can make all the difference in the world as to whether they embrace the idea or product you present.

Right now, we're going into the holiday season. People are beginning to focus on gift-giving, so let's take a little look at strategy: At gift-giving time, people are less likely to shell out dollars for personal gain. They're looking for ways to satisfy the needs/wants of family, friends and business associates. They need to get gifts ready and wrapped for the least amount of money possible so they can get back to their normal lives.

So how do you find any success in the middle of all this? It's simple: Offer People something that will help them do THAT right now, and you'll make sales. If you don't have anything along those lines, here's an idea for you: Offer them cash-back or discount shopping.

It's a passive, viral income stream everyone should have available when a holiday or gift-giving season approaches (Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hannukah, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Secretaries Day, you name it). Send it to them by email. Hang a poster at your grocery store. Leave flyers on your local library's free newspapers rack. However you get the word out, get it out. You'll make money passively and perpetually because it offers what people need right now. You don't even have to explain the product. It's self explanatory.

That's just one example. There are others, too. In a couple of weeks, we'll talk about what to offer at the beginning of every year. Learn to time your product offerings with what people are hearing thinking about, hearing about in the news, or seeing on television. Capitalize on the environment of the times, and you will succeed.
